I added 23 more ads today from August and September 1982, plus two more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade. The first one is a Wednesday, 8/4/82 story by Tom Gearhart, “Consumer-Oriented Program Replacing 'Rap' on WOHO” and also includes other items about Craig Edwards, Lou Hebert, Crystal Bostian, Bo Elliott, Jeannine Lauber, and WFOB radio. The other one is a Saturday, 9/4/82 story by Seymour Rothman, “Ted Turner Is A Winner In Season's Opening Game.” There are two additions to the Channel 11 gallery, including a Wednesday, 8/25/82 ad for the Liberty Mutual syndicated special, Peking Encounter (Diana Canova, Mason Adams, June Lockhart). There's also a Monday, 8/30/82 ad for Laverne & Shirley & Company. There's a similar TV Guide ad here. There are two additions to the Jerry Lewis Telethon gallery, a Monday, 8/30/82 ad for the “Extra Special Special” and a Sunday, 9/5/82 North Towne Square ad. I'll have another one on Tuesday. There are eleven additions to the PBS gallery for programs on channel 30. First is a Monday, 8/9/82 ad for Evening at Pops (Buddy Rich), followed by a Friday, 8/13/82 ad for Music Stand featuring Toledo band, the Fabulous Haircuts, made possible by Boogie Records. There's also a Friday, 8/20/82 ad for the movie, “The Desert Fox” and Blitz on Britain, and a Saturday, 8/21/82 ad for Broadway Plays Washington! Kennedy Center Tonight and the movie, “Julia.” Next is a Monday, 8/23/82 ad for Evening at Pops (Bernadette Peters) and another ad for James Cagney: That Yankee Doodle Dandy, and the movie, “13 Rue Madeleine.” There's a Tuesday, 8/24/82 ad for the National Geographic Special, “The Sharks” and two Wednesday 8/25/82 ads, the first one for the movie, “An Affair to Remember” and the second one for another Mark Russell Comedy Special. Next is a Thursday, 8/26/82 ad for The Making of Superman, the Movie (Christopher Reeve), followed by a Saturday, 8/28/82 ad for the movie, “The King and I” and The Kingston Trio Reunion. And finally, there's a Saturday, 9/4/82 ad for The Toledo Festival featuring the Toledo Concert Band, conducted by Samuel P. Szor. There's one addition to the Buckeye Ch 5 gallery, a Friday, 8/20/82 ad for the WLQR Ohio Open Tennis Championship from Toledo's Shadow Valley Racquet Club. There's one addition to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery, a Friday, 9/3/82 ad for the premiere of Saturday Night at the Fights on ESPN (Roberto Duran). There are also five additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery including two featuring ABC's Chris Schenkel for O-I and Seagate, a Tuesday, 8/10/82 ad and a Friday, 8/13/82 ad. Next is a Tuesday, 8/24/82 ad for RC Cola, followed by a Monday, 8/30/82 ad for The Blade, touting newspaper advertising. Today's last ad is a Sunday, 9/5/82 ad for the Apple III computer at Abacus II.
