June 2, 2015: Oh, Yes, We're Still Here

There are fourteen more ads today, from the October 4-10, 1997 issue of TV Guide Magazine and from October 7-9, 1997 issues of The Blade. There's one addition to the Channel 24 gallery, a Saturday, 10/4/97 full-page TV Guide ad for Live with Regis & Kathie Lee's Debit MasterCard $100,000+ Jukebox Jam! This ad listed three channels carrying the show at 9:00, 24 in Toledo, 35 in Lima, and 8. I'm assuming that 8 was in Cleveland, but the Toledo-Lima edition had no listings for channel 8. Other channels carrying the show at 9:00 were 7 in Lima, 10 in Columbus, and 7 in Detroit. There's one addition to the CBS gallery, a Monday, 10/6/97 TV Guide ad, on two pages, for Cosby, "Two Cents," Everybody Loves Raymond, "Brother," Cybill, "Some Like It Hot," and George & Leo, "The Baby-Care Class." Also included are some 7-7:35 pm listings. Next is an addition to the NBC gallery. a Monday, 10/6/97 full-page TV Guide ad, for Suddenly Susan, "Truth and Consequences," Fired Up, "You Don't Know Jack," Caroline in the City, "Caroline and the Novelist," and The Naked Truth, "Bully for Dave" (Brooke Shields. Sharon Lawrence, Lea Thompson, Tea Leoni). There are two additions to the PBS gallery, both TV Guide ads, a Sunday, 10/5/97 ad (on two pages) and close-up program description for The American Expierence, "The Presidents: Truman," followed by a Tuesday, 10/7/97 ad and close-up description for Nova, "Coma." There are seven additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery (all from The Blade) starting with a Tuesday, 10/7/97 ad with Buckeye customers Julie Champa and Bob Seibenick (Toledo knows, Buckeye CableSystem provides cable choices and quality service.), Next is another 10/7/97 ad, for Portraits in Change on Court TV, followed by a 10/7/97 full-page ad (Right time for...Family! Sports! Movies! News!...CNN, ESPN, Family Channel, Disney Channel, Discovery Channel, Flix). There are two Wednesday, 10/8/97 sports section ads for a Dallas Stars at Detroit Red Wings hockey game, the first ad for WKBD's coverage (Oh yes, we're still here...Bringing Toledo more Detroit winter sports action than any other source!), the second ad for ESPN2's coverage. Buckeye would run many ads reminding viewers that some Red Wings and Pistons games were still being carried even though the Fox Sports Detroit network was not. There's one more 10/8/97 ad (in the Peach Section), for The Joe Namath Show and NFL Night at the Classics, on Classic Sports Network, followed by a Thursday, 10/9/97 ad for Pop Up Video on VH-1. There's one addition to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, a Wednesday, 10/8/97 ad for Conan the Adventurer, Team Knight Rider, Due South, and Soldier of Fortune (The Adventure is on ToledoVision 5). Today's last ad is an addition to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery, a Sunday, 10/5/97 full-page ad and close-up description for Classic Whitney, on HBO.
