September 2, 2010: I Need My Own Space, Man

I added 19 more ads today from January and February 1990 plus one page in the Random Pages gallery with a list of channels covered in the Toledo-Lima Edition of TV Guide. There are three in the Channel 36 gallery, one for "Silent Rage" (Chuck Norris), one for "Critters" (Billy Green Bush, Dee Wallace Stone) and one for a Pistons-Bucks NBA game (Vinnie Johnson). There are two in the ABC gallery, one for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships on ABC's Wide World of Sports and a full-page ad for the Elvis episode "The Storm" (Michael St. Gerard, Millie Perkins, Billy Green Bush). There are three ads in the CBS gallery, a full-page ad for The Bold and the Beautiful, a 3/4 page ad and TV Guide close-up description for the CBS Sunday Movie "The Operation" (Joe Penny, Lisa Hartman, Kathleen Quinlan) and an ad and TV Guide close-up description for 48 Hours (Paul McCartney, Dan Rather). The FOX gallery has a full-page ad for a repeat of the pilot episode of Alien Nation (Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint) and two for The Simpsons, one for "Bart the General" and one for "Moaning Lisa" (which was in two parts on adjoining pages). The NBC gallery has five ads, a full-page ad for "Perry Mason: The Case of the Poisoned Pen" (Raymond Burr), a full-page ad for the Late Night with David Lettrman 8th Anniversary Special, one for Days of Our Lives (Mary Beth Evans), one on two pages for The Magical Worlf of Disney "A Ducktales Valentine" which includes an ad for Ducktales on WUPW-TV 36 and one for Santa Barbara (Marcy Walker, A Martinez). The Vintage Cable Ads Gallery has a TNT full-page ad and TV Guide close-up description for "Treasure Island" (Charlton Heston, Oliver Reed, Christian Bale), the TBS gallery has an ad for Clash of the Champions X: Texas Shootout (Ric Flair, Sting) and the Other Vintage ads gallery has one ad for Bud Bowl II (Budweiser vs. Bud Light). I'll post an ad from 9/5/72 for the CBS premieres of The Joker's Wild, The Price is Right and Gambit along with five TV Guide pages from 9/1/72 and 9/4/72 tomorrow (Friday 9/3/2010). These were requested by Z.C. a few weeks ago. I'll also open up the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon gallery again. More from February and March 1990 are on the way...
