Dec. 5, 2010: HBO People Don't Miss Out!

There are 16 additions today from May-July 1980. The channel 2 gallery has a full-page ad for The Mike Douglas Show with co-host Erik Estrada, the channel 7 gallery has three ads for Steve McQueen Week on The 4:00 Movie, two for "Bullitt" (shown in two parts) and one for "The Sand Pebbles" (shown in three parts) and the channel 11 gallery has one more for Star Trek on The Big Show.  The channel 50 gallery has one for I Love Lucy (Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz), one for The Bob Newhart Show and two for M*A*S*H, one with Mike Farrell and one with Alan Alda and the channel 50 movie gallery has one for "Ten Little Indians." The ABC gallery has a two-page ad for it's daytime shows The Love Boat, Family Feud, Ryan's Hope, All My Children, One Life to Live, General Hospital and The Edge of Night. The CBS gallery has one for The Waltons: A Decade of the Waltons and the PBS gallery has two, one for Picasso - A Painter's Diary (Pablo Picasso) and one for Ben Wattenberg's 1980 (Silicon Valley: the New Entrepreneurs). In the Random Pages gallery there's two pages of TV Guide listings from Thursday 5/22/80 (late night) and Friday 5/23/80 (early morning). I also added another gallery for Vintage Cable Ads (located below the PBS gallery). The first one is an ad for HBO which lists the areas where it was available in southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio. Up next: more from the Summer of 1980...
