There are nine more ads today, from August 1948 pages of The Blade, plus one Friday, 8/5/48 WSPD-TV schedule, in the Peach Section, an addition to the Channel 13 gallery. Their broadcast day started at 6:00 pm. The listings said "Time Pattern," but I beleive it was probably supposed to be "Test Pattern." After that the shows listed were TV Ranch, Program Preview, Views of the News, Animal Kingdom, Cartoon Parade, Tennesseeans, Newsreel, Music at Eight, and Baseball at 8:10pm, probably a Mud Hens home game. There are two additions to the Radio Station Ads gallery. The first one is a Saturday, 8/28/48 ad, in the Peach Section, for shows sponsored by Lucky Strike Cigarettes, Your Hit Parade and Let's Talk Hollywood. The second ad is a Monday, 8/30/48 ad, for Lux Radio Theatre: I Remember Mama, with Irene Dunne, Barbara Bel Geddes, and Oscar Homolka, on WJR-AM. The rest of today's ads are additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery, starting with a Sunday, 8/8/48 ad, in the Feature Section, for Philco Televisions. Next is a Monday, 8/9/48 ad, for Sunoco (Have a better running car...and save repair bills...see your Sunoco dealer for Double Summer Protection...). There's a Tuesday 8/10/48 ad next, for RCA Victor Televisions at Tiedke's. This was part of a larger ad and included a listing of "Programs you will enjoy" (Boxing, basketball, hockey, fashions and homemaking, drama, comedy, newsreels, and children's features). Next is a Saturday, 8/28/48 ad, in the Peach Section, for Kiddie Karnival on Monroe Street, followed by two Sunday, 8/29/48 ads, a Sports Section ad for Jim White Chevrolet (Who will fix your car at nite?), followed by a Feature Section ad for Torrence Televisions, made by Crosley, RCA Victor, Stromberg-Carlson, Motorola, Emerson, and Philco. Today's last ad is a Tuesday, 8/31/48 ad for Levi's which included several smaller ads below it for Toledo area Levi's retailers, which included Jack's Men's Store, Howards', Conn's, Lickendorf;s, Harry's Clothing, and Giha Stores.
