July 5, 2015: Change of Plan

There are eleven more ads today, from the January 3-9, 1998 issue of TV Guide Magazine, and from January 3, 5, 8 & 9, 1998 editions of The Blade, plus one Random Pages gallery addition, a Monday, 1/5/98 Blade Peach Section story by Chris Borrelli, "Turnover Sport Gains Speed at WTVG" and also includes an item about Channel 48 returning to Buckeye CableSystem and another item aout Channel 13's logo. There's one addition to the ABC gallery, a Monday, 1/5/98 full-page TV Guide ad for 20/20, now on twice weekly (Can you spot the difference?). There are two additions, both from TV Guide, to the CBS gallery, a Saturday, 1/3/98 full-page ad and close-up description for the series premiere of The Magnificent Seven, and a Friday, 1/9/98 page-and-a-half ad for Kids Say the Darndest Things (Bill Cosby) and The Gregory Hines Show, "To Volunteer is Human." There's one addition to the NBC gallery, a Sunday, 1/4/98 ad for Days of Our Lives. There are two additions, both from The Blade's Peach Section, to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery starting with a Saturday, 1/3/98 ad for "My Fellow Americans" (Jack Lemmon, James Garner) on HBO. There's also a Monday, 1/5/98 ad announcing changes to Buckeye's channel 16A/20A. The Blade's Info Channel would be interrupted from 7-11 pm so Channel 48 programming could be shown, including UPN shows. There are four additions, all from TV Guide, to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery starting with a Sunday, 1/4/98 full-page ad for "ShowStoppers Week" on Biography (Bob Hope). Next is another 1/4/98 full-page ad, for the season premiere of HBO's Tracey Takes On (Tracey Ullman). There's one more 1/4/98 full-page ad, for the second season premiere of La Femme Nikita, "Hard Landing" (Peta Wilson) on USA. There's also a Monday, 1/5/98 ad, another one for Biography (Mick Jagger) on A&E. Today's last ad is an addition to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Thursday, 1/8/98 Blade Sports Section ad for Toledo Edison ("Introducing a new kind of electric company with the power to conquer your quarterly reeport, a space alien and 14 inches of snow.").
