You'll find thirteen more ads today, all from the April 5-11, 1997 issue of TV Guide Magazine. All of today's ads are in color, and all but two are full-page ads. They're from a special advertising section for cable's week-long showcase of the best Kids & Family Programming. All of them are additions to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery. The first one is a Viacom ad for Nickelodeon, Nick-at-Nite, Nick Jr., and TV Land (Kids and Families have always been the center of our universe.). Next is a Discovery Channel ad for "Growing Up Wild Week" on Wild Discovery (Comes with 456 lbs. of trunk space), followed by an HBO ad for Happily Ever After (Fairy Tales for Every Child). There's also a Disney Channel ad for "Pocahontas" (First Time on TV!), followed by a Discovery Channel Kids ad (It's their time.) and an Animal Planet ad (family viewing...All animals. All the time.). There's a TLC ad for Ready, Set, Learn!, followed by a 20th. Anniversary Family Channel ad for the movies, "Captains Courageous, "The Ditchdigger's Daughters," "Stolen Moments: Secrets from the Rose Garden" and "Dog's Best Friend." You'll also find an AMC ad for their family special, The Royale, an A&E ad for Biography for Kids (Shirley Temple), a History Channel ad for Ellis Island, and a Showtime ad for their original pictures for kids, "My Life as a Dog," "The Song Spinner" and "Bonnie and Julie." Today's last addition is an HBO Family ad for "The Amazing Panda Adventure," "The Wizard of Oz," "The Indian in the Cupboard," Star Trek Generations" and "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie."
