December 9, 2015: 25 Days of Christmas

There are ten more additions to the Christmas and New Year's Ads gallery today. The first nine are from November 7-13, 1998, November 21-27, 1998 and November 28 - December 4, 1998 issues of TV Guide Magazine, and the last one is from the December 4, 1998 edition of The Blade. The first one is a full-page color ad for Pepto Bismol ("Tis The Season...First aid for heartburn, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea and upset stomachs). Next is a Sunday, 11/22/98 ABC full-page ad for "The Santa Clause" on The Wonderful World of Disney (Tim Allen), followed by a Friday, 11/27/98 full-page CBS ad for The Snowden, Raggedy Ann & Andy Holiday Show, sponsored by Target (Scott Hamilton, Ekatrina Gordeeva, Kurt Browning, Josée Chouinard). There's also a Monday, 11/30/98 CBS ad for Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, with original restored footage not seen in 33 years. The first two of four "25 Days of Christmas" ads for the Fox Family Channel are next, a Tuesday, 12/1/98 ad for "To Grandmother's House We Go" (Jerry Van Dyke, Rhea Perlman), followed by another 12/1/98 ad, for "Like Father, Like Santa" (Harry Hamlin, Megan Gallagher). There's a Wednesday, 12/2/98 CBS ad, on two pages, for A Charlie Brown Christmas and A Garfield Christmas Special, followed by the next two Family Channel ads, another 12/2/98 ad, for "The Christmas List" (Mimi Rogers) and a Friday, 12/4/98 ad for "Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July." Today's last ad is a 12/4/98 full-page ad in The Blade for The Disney Channel on Buckeye CableSystem (Bring Home the Magic this Holiday Season). More holiday ads, from the December 5-11, 1998 issue of TV Guide Magazine and from the 12/10/98 edition of The Blade, found on the online archives of The Toledo Blade, are on the way...
