July 24, 1994: Cheap Labor Day Weekend Telethon Marathon

There are eleven more ads today, all from September 1994. There's one addition to the Jerry Lewis Telethon gallery, a Monday, 9/5/94 ad for The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Weekend Telethon (Watch Stars Across America!) on channel 13, followed by an addition to the Channel 36 gallery, a Sunday, 9/4/94 ad for a Fox NFL Sunday Doubleheader with the Lions hosting the Falcons and the Cowboys playing the Steelers (Jeff George, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Greg Lloyd). The TV Guide ad had a different 1:00 game (Vikings at Packers). My guess is the blackout was lifted and the Lions game could be shown so a different ad ran in The Blade. There are five additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, starting with a Thursday, 9/1/94 ad for Prime Time Justice on Court TV. Next is a Friday, 9/2/94 ad for Comedy Central's Cheap Labor Day Weekend, followed by a Saturday, 9/3/94 ad for ESPN/ABC college football games on Impulse pay-per-view. There's also a Monday, 9/5/94 ad for a Labor Day Evening Shade marathon on the Family Channel, followed by a Tuesday, 9/6/94 full-page ad for a “Fall Installation Special” (The Choice is Yours). There are two additions to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, starting with a Sunday, 9/4/94 full-page color ad with TV5's new fall schedule (scanned from an actual paper “TV Week”). There's also a Monday, 9/5/94 ad with that day's highlights. The schedule included Murphy Brown, Cannon, Magnum, PI, Rescue 911, Mighty Max, Hard Copy, Samurai Syber Squad, Hogan's Heroes, and two movies, “Angel of Death” on The Morning Movie, and “Chips, the War Dog” on The Big Show. Today's last two ads are additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Friday, 9/2/94 ad for that evening's Riverdome Party at the Toledo Sports Arena, and another 9/2/94 ad for the Fulton County Fair, featuring an appearance by Willie Nelson. More September 1994 ads, from the online archives of The Toledo Blade are on the way...
