July 13, 2014: Three New Channels

 

There are fifteen more ads today, all from June 1994, plus one Random Pages gallery addition, a Thursday, 6/30/94 Blade Peach Section story by Tom Ensign, “Buckeye Adds Three Stations” (Sci-Fi, WGN and Flix). There are nine additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, starting with a Friday, 6/1/94 ad for “The perfect Father's Day card,” WWF King of the Ring, on Impulse pay-per-view. The next four are Monday, 6/20/94 ads, the first ad for “Bull Durham” on Lifetime, the second ad for “24-Hour Service,” the third ad for the TNT Original, “Amelia Earhart; The Final Flight” (Diane Keaton) and the fourth ad for Wimbledon '94 coverage on HBO. The next two are for The CableSystem's three new channels, WGN, Sci-Fi, and Flix, a Wednesday, 6/22/94 ad, and a Monday, 6/27/94 ad. And there's a Thursday, 6/30/94 ad for the mini-series Centennial, on the Family Channel. There are three additions to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, a Sunday, 6/23/94 ad for Thunder in Paradise (Terry “Hulk” Hogan, Carol Alt, Chris Lemmon), a Monday, 6/20/94 ad for Hard Copy, and a Wednesday, 6/29/94 ad for U.S. Senior Open Preview. The last four ads today are additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery. There's a Tuesday, 6/21/94 ad from Jacobsen's and Franklin Park Mall, thanking sponsors for “Zoo-to-Do '94,” followed by two Sunday, 6/26/94 ads for the 1994 Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, a Kroger ad with Charles Barkley, and a Fifth-Third Bank ad (Our best investments are in the community). There's also another 6/26/94 ad, for Sprint Cellular.
