Today I'll be picking up where I left off before this year's holiday ads with 12 ads from June 1996 plus three more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade, all by Chris Borrelli. There's a Monday, 6/3/96 story, "Ch. 13 Losing Hollingsworth to Columbus" and also includes and item about Steve Mason. Next is a Thursday, 6/6/96 story, "WBUZ Adds Howard Stern to Lineup," followed by a Monday, 6/10/96 story, "WBUZ is Expecting Complaints Over Stern." The second one also includes an item about WTOL-TV's sweep of the regional Emmy awards. There are six additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, starting with a Saturday, 6/1/96 ad for Univeral pay-per-view Entertainment on Impulse, featuring the movies "Babe," "Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain," "Balto" and "How to Make an American Quilt." Next is a Monday, 6/3/96 ad for the two newest SelectChannels, The Golf Channel and HGTV (The CableSystem Has Two New Additions Just in Time For Summer!) There's another 6/3/96 ad, for "The Incredible Hulk Returns" (Bill Bixby) on Sci-Fi Channel, and a Thursday, 6/6/96 ad for the Family Channel's Wild Animal Games. And there are two more for HGTV, a Monday, 6/10/96 ad for Homewise (Beverly DuJulio and daughter Chris) and a Tuesday, 6/11/96 ad for The Victory Garden. There's one addition to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, a Monday, 6/10/96 ad for Buckeye Baseball, sponsored by Altra Thermal Windows, with Cincinnati playing San Diego on SportsChannel. There are two additions to the Radio Station Ads gallery for Howard Stern's show on WBUZ-FM, a Friday, 6/7/96 ad and a Monday, 6/9/96 ad. Today's last three ads are additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery, starting with a Saturday, 6/1/96 ad for The CableSystem Night with the Mud Hens, with Toledo hosting Norfolk. Next is a Sunday, 6/9/96 ad for a Television Advertising Career Seminar, sponsored by The CableSystem, followed by a Tuesday, 6/11/96 ad for 1-800-CALL-ATT (Traffic can be blocked...).
