September 21, 2013: Something's Happening Tonight!

I added fourteen more ads today, from November and December 1988, plus five more Random Pages gallery additions, from the pages of The Blade, the first four, from the Peach Section. There's a Friday, 11/11/88 story by Tom Ensign, “Chinese City to Dedicate Plaque to honor Parcell” and also includes other Toledo TV items including one on rumors that Diane Larson would be leaving WTVG. “Larson isn't going anywhere else – not for the time being, anyway” turned out to be quite the understatement, seeing how she's still there! Next is a Saturday, 11/12/88 story by Seymour Rothman, “Bo-Woody 10-Year Rivalry Lives Again on Videotape,” followed by a Tuesday, 11/15/88 item, “ESPN to Interview Macomber Net Star,” about Jimmy Jackson. There's also a Thursday, 12/1/88 story by Tom Ensign, “Channel 36 to Broadcast 52 Tiger Baseball Games” and also includes other TV and radio items. And there's a Sunday, 12/4/88 Toledo Magazine cover, featuring four morning radio personalities, Jack Mitchell, Mary Beth Zolik, Bob Kelly and Dennis Staples (photo by Bruce Sinner). There's one addition to the Channel 11 gallery, a Monday, 11/21/88 ad for The Cosby Show and Toledo 11 News, with a story by Julie Malkin about Ohio's Amish. There are three additions to the Channel 24 gallery, including a Sunday, 11/13/88 ad for the ABC mini-sereis, War and Remembrance. Next is a Tuesday, 11/15/88 ad for ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, A Current Affair, The All New Family Feud, War and Remembrance, and 24 News Late Edition. The third one is a Wednesday, 11/30/88 ad for ABC World News Tonight, The All New Family Feud and ABC prime time shows, Growing Pains, “Nude Photos,” Head of the Class, “Engen and Son,” The Wonder Years, “Heart of Darkness,” Hooperman, “Requiem for an S.O.B.” and China Beach, “Lost and Found,” part one of two, and for 24 News Late Edition. There are four additions to the Channel 36 gallery, including a Saturday, 11/5/88 ad for The Reporters, “Marilyn: A Case for Murder?” on Fox (Marilyn Monroe) and a Monday, 11/14/88 ad for the mini-series, Shaka Zulu. The other two are for movies, a Thursday, 11/24/88 ad for “Return of the Pink Panther,” and a Wednesday, 11/30/88 ad for “The Osterman Weekend.” There are three additions to the PBS gallery including a Saturday, 12/3/88 ad for two movies, “Miracle Down Under” and “The Plainsman.” Next is a Monday, 12/5/88 ad for two specials, A Vision Shared – A Tribute to Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly and Folk City Reunion. There's also a Tuesday, 12/6/88 ad for two Elvis Presley specials, Elvis '56 and Elvis: One Night With You. There are two additions to the Radio Station Ads gallery, a Sunday, 11/20/88 ad for WOHO (changing to a country station), and a Friday, 11/25/88 Texaco / WGTE-FM ad with the 1988-89 Metropoliatn Opera radio schedule.
