July 30, 2013: We've Moved Up To "A"

 

I added fourteen more ads today, all from December 1986, plus one Random Pages gallery addition, two Friday, 12/26/86 Blade Peach Section items by Tom Ensign, about personnel changes at WNWO-TV and a channel 36 special, Welcome Home which featured Vietnam war veteran, Don Krieger, from Wauseon. There are no ads today for channels 11, 13 and 24 and there's just one addition to the Channel 36 gallery, a Wednesday, 12/31/86 ad announcing that their CableSystem channel position was changing from 6B to 6A, exchanging positions with Detroit's WKBD-TV 50. There are eight additions to the PBS gallery, all for WGTE-TV 30. First is a Thursday, 12/4/86 ad for This Old House (Bob Vila) and Woodwright's Shop (Roy Underhill). There's also a Saturday, 12/6/86 ad for “A Saturday Salute to America!” featuring Tennessee Ernie Ford's America, Irving Berlin's America and the movie, “Yankee Doodle Dandy.” There are two more ads for The Wonderful World of Disney, a Tuesday, 12/9/86 ad for “Davy Crockett's Keelboat Race” and a Wednesday, 12/10/86 ad for “Nikki: Wild Dog of the North.” There are two Friday, 12/12/86 ads, the first one for Wall $treet Week (Louis Rukeyser), the second one for Hollywood: The Gift of Laughter. Next is a Saturday, 12/13/86 ad for a Winter Festival Double Feature, “Pollyanna” and “Meet Me In St. Louis” followed by a Monday, 12/29/86 ad for Drinking and Driving: the Toll, the Tears, a special underwritten by The Toledo Hospital Alcohol Treatment Center. There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Saturday, 12/27/86 ad for a University of Toledo vs. Colorado State basketball game, on channel 10B. There's also one addition to the Radio Station Ads gallery, a Friday, 12/12/86 ad for WKKO-FM 99.9 and WTOD-AM 1560's Mitch and Mary Beth, at the Toledo Museum Of Art. The last three ads today are all additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery, including a Wednesday, 12/3/86 ad for an appearance by Mickey Mouse at the Woodville Mall. There's also a Saturday, 12/20/86 ad for Uncle Alligator children's meals at Rax Restaurants, and a Friday, 12/26/86 ad for Movie Quik Rentals at 7 Eleven stores.
