I added thirteen more ads today, all from November, 1986, plus three more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade, including the very first evening program grid that appeared in the Peach Section, an 11/10/86 “Monday At A Glance” grid. The Toledo Channels were 11,13, 24, 30 and 36, followed by Bowling Green Channel 27. Next were the Detroit Channels, 2, 4, 7, 20, 50, 56 and 62, followed by Windsor's Channel 9. Cleveland Channels 3, 5 and 8 were next, followed by Lansing Channel 6 and Jackson Channel 10. Lima Channel 35 and Lorain Channel 43 were next, followed by Fort Wayne Channels 15, 21, 33 and 55. Cable channels were at the bottom: CBN, COM (Community Cable Channel 10), ESPN, Nickelodeon, TBS, TNN, USA, Disney, HBO, PASS, Showtime and TMC. The New Newlywed Game was listed as “Game.” There is a “before and after” pic here. There are also two “Around Toledo Television” colums by Tom Ensign, a Friday, 11/14/86 story, “Stability, Better Ratings Major Goals of Channel 24” and a Friday, 11/28/86 story, “Channel 30, 27 Program Specials For Fund Raiser” and also includes a couple of radio items and one about a Perrysburg woman on Wheel of Fortune. There's one addition to the News/Special Reports Ads gallery, a Monday, 11/10/86 ad for a Diane Larson series of 13 News reports on “Water: the Great Divide.” There are also two additions to the Channel 13 News gallery. The first one is a Tuesday, 11/11/86 ad for “The city's best news program,” 13 News (Jeannine Lauber, Jerry Anderson) and “The country's best,” NBC Nightly News (Tom Brokaw). The other one is a Monday, 11/24/86 ad for “Toledo's home team,” Stan Stachak, Jerry Anderson, Jeannine Lauber and Neil Hartman. There are five additions to the PBS gallery, all for programs on channel 30. First is a Friday, 11/14/86 ad for Capitol Journal, The McLaughlin Group, Washington Week in Review and Wall Street Week (The Bottom Line). Next is a Monday, 11/17/86 ad for The Wonderful World of Disney, “Castaway Cowboy,” part one, Wonderworks, “The House of Dies Drear,” part two, and The Cousteau Odyssey, “Cries from the Deep,” part one. There's also a Wednesday, 11/19/86 ad for Smithsonian World, “The Wyeths” and In Performance at the White House, and a Saturday, 11/22/86 ad for “Flipper” on The Saturday Family Movie. The last one is a Wednesday, 11/26/86 ad for A Day in the Life of America. There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Sunday, 11/16/86 TV Tab ad for a free preview of the Disney Channel. There are three additions to the Radio Station Ads gallery, two for WKKO-FM 99.9 and WTOD-AM-1560, a Friday, 11/14/86 ad (...the News Authority!) and a Wednesday, 11/19/86 ad for Mitch and Mary Beth (Everybody has a birthday and...). The other one is a Friday, 11/18/86 ad with Texaco's 1986-87 Metropolitan Opea Radio Broadcast schedule. WGTE-FM 91.3 carried the series. Today's last ad is an addition to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Wednesday, 11/19/86 ad for the “Food for Families” program, sponsored by Pepsi, Burger King, WIOT-FM and WUPW-TV 36 (Help the Needy).
