July 25, 2013: Something Important Happened Today...

I added twelve more ads today, all from November 1986 plus one Random Pages gallery addition, two Friday, 11/7/86 Blade Peach Section items about channels 13 and 11, by Tom Ensign. There are two additions to the Channel 11 gallery, both of them, “Share the Spirit” ads. The first one is a Wednesday, 11/5/86 ad for The CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, and CBS prime-time shows, The New Mike Hammer, “To Kill a Friend” (Stacy Keach), Magnum, P. I., “Little Girl Who” (Tom Selleck) and The Equalizer, “Shades of Darkness” (Edward Woodward), plus a Toledo 11 News report by Evan Rosen on overcrowded prisons. The other one is a Sunday, 11/9/86 TV Tab ad for 60 Minutes, Murder, She Wrote, “Corned Beef and Cabbage” (Angela Lansbury) and part one of the two-part movie, “Monte Carlo” (Joan Collins). There's one more channel 11 ad among the three additions to the News/Special Reports Ads gallery. It's a Tuesday, 11/4/86 ad for Toledo 11 News and CBS News election coverage. There are two more for 13 News, a Monday, 11/3/86 ad and a Tuesday, 11/4/86 ad (Jerry Anderson, Jeannine Lauber, Stan Odesky). There are also two additions to the Channel 13 News gallery, a Thursday, 11/6/86 ad for 13 News (Jeannine Lauber, Jerry Anderson) and NBC Nightly News (Tom Brokaw). The other one is a Friday, 11/7/86 ad for “Football Friday” with Neil Hartman and Michael Reghi. Sorry about the poor quality of this ad. If I find a better copy I will replace this one with a better one in the future. There's also one addition to the Channel 13 gallery, a Wednesday, 11/5/86 ad for NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, NBC prime time shows, Highway to Heaven, “Love at Second Sight,” Gimme A Break, “A Good Man is Hard to Find,” You Again?, “Sports Fantasy” and St. Elsewhere, “Not My Type” (William Daniels) plus 13 News at 11:00. There's also one addition to the Channel 24 gallery, a Thursday, 11/6/86 ad for The New Newlywed Game and The All New Dating Game (Twice the Fun!) and there's one addition to the Channel 36 gallery, a Wednesday, 11/5/86 ad for Diff'rent Strokes, Gimme a Break, Too Close for Comfort, Gunsmoke, the movie, “Barefoot in the Park” and The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers. And there are two additions to the PBS gallery for channel 30, a Wednesday, 11/5/86 ad for Entrepreneurs and a Saturday, 11/8/86 ad for The Saturday Family Movie, “Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo” (Don Knotts, Dean Jones). More November 1986 ads, from the online archives of The Toledo Blade are on the way...
