June 13, 2013: Your Window On The World

 

I added just nine more ads today, all from September 1985, plus three more Random Pages gallery additions from The Blade. There are two from the Peach Section, a Saturday,9/5/85 story by Seymour Rothman, “Toledo Karate Show Gets Much Exposure on ESPN,” and a Tuesday, 9/10/85 story by Tom Ensign, “Game Show Host To Hold Mock Program in Toledo.” Also include are several other “Around Toledo Television” items. There's also a Sunday, 9/15/85 TV Tab front page story, “Channel 36 Proclaims Its Independence,” also by Tom Ensign. There's one addition to the Channel 13 News gallery, a Wednesday, 9/11/85 ad for the “Nail Neil” segment of the 13 News sports reports (Neil Hartman). There are two additions to the Channel 24 gallery. The first one is a Tuesday, 9/10/85 ad for the live, local edition of The New Newlywed Game at Southwyck Mall, hosted by Bob Eubanks. The show would premiere on channel 24 on the following Monday. There's also a Saturday, 9/14/85 ad for Solid Gold, with new host, Dionne Warwick. There are two additions to the PBS gallery, both for channel 30's “Window on the World” programming. The first one is a Friday, 9/6/85 ad for the Humphrey Bogart film, “The Maltese Falcon.” The other one is a Wednesday, 9/11/85 ad for Great Moments With National Geographic. There are three additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, all for shows on channel 10-B, including a Thursday, 9/5/85 ad for The Dan Simrell Show, hosted by Jerry Keil. Next is a Tuesday, 9/10/85 ad for About Your Health, “Well Child Care.” There's also a Saturday, 9/14/85 ad for The Dan Simrell Show and Rocket Country (Follow the Rockets...). Today's last ad is an addition to the Radio Station Ads gallery, a Thursday, 9/12/85 ad for a “Rally by the River” appearance by the Johnny Knorr Orchestra, at Promenade Park, sponsored by WCWA-AM.
