You'll find 21 additional ads today, all from November 1982, plus one Random Pages gallery addition, a Friday, 11/12/82 story by Tom Gearhart in that day's Blade Peach Section, “Lawrence Leaving WTOL News; Contract Terms Cited” and also includes other items, about WTVG's Mike O'Mara and Mike Mota, WTOL-TV's Trudy Gallant, WSPD-AM's Mike Stanley, and WFRO-AM's The Polka Hour. There's one addition to the Channel 11 gallery, a Tuesday, 11/16/82 ad for PM Magazine and CBS prime-time shows, Bring 'em Back Alive, “Thirty Hours” and the The Blue and the Gray, “May 1882-May 1883,” and Toledo Eleven News which had the Brad Fish story, “Anatomy of a Merger.” There are five more WTOL-TV ads among the eight additions to the News/Special Reports Ads gallery. First is a Monday, 11/8/82 ad for a Rebecca Hanshaw series of reports on adoption. Next is a Monday, 11/15/82 ad for a Brad Fish series of reports, “Anatomy of a Merger,” followed by a Wednesday, 11/24/82 ad for a Debbie Pettibone report, “Prescription for Profit.” There's also a Monday, 11/29/82 ad for that week's special reports on drug abuse, “A Local Epidemic?” and “Night Shift” workers, and a Tuesday, 11/30/82 ad, another one for “A Local Epidemic?” The other three are for 24 News Tonight, a Monday, 11/1/82 ad for their coverage of “The 82 Vote,” a Monday, 11/8/82 ad for a Regina Benjamin series of reports from the Netherlands, “Dutch Treat,” and a Monday, 11/15/82 ad for a John Ostakovich series of reports on “Television: The New Home Appliance.” There are also two additions to the Channel 24 News gallery, a Tuesday, 11/16/82 ad asking, “Shouldn't your local news program be local news?” (Paul Rae, Rosemary Collins, Jim Tichy, Dave Carlson) and a Wednesday, 11/17/82 ad (“At 6 o'clock tonight, over 90% of our stories will be local”). Today's only WTVG ad is an addition to the Channel 13 News gallery, a Friday, 11/5/82 ad for “Football Friday” on 13 Strong News at 11:00 PM, with John Gillespie and Frank Gilhooley. There are three additions to the PBS gallery, two for channel 30 and one for channel 57. There's a Tuesday, 11/16/82 ad for Nova, “Adventures of Teenage Scientists” and a Wednesday, 11/17/82 ad for Smiley's People, both on channel 30, and a Monday, 11/29/82 ad for WBGU-TV's “Quiet Campaign” on channel 57, which was held December 3-12 to raise more than $31,000. It featured short appeals and instead of phoning in pledges, you were to just mail in your contribution. There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Friday, 11/26/82 ad for a free preview of the Movie Channel. There's one addition to the Radio Station Ads gallery, a Friday, 11/26/82 ad with the 1982-1983 Texaco-Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast Schedule. The program was heard on WGTE-FM. There are three additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Thursday, 11/18/82 ad for the Toledo Goaldiggers, featuring Snoopy, a Monday, 11/22/82 ad for Monday Night Football on the big screen at The Willows, and a Monday, 11/29/82 ad for Janney's Ace Hardware, selling “Frogger” for $48.99.
