February 28, 2013: Project Big Mouth

I added fifteen more ads today from November and December 1981 plus three more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade. The first two are Saturday Electonic Press Box columns by Seymour Rothman, an 11/28/81 story, “Ch. 24 Finds Its Football Cup Is Running Over” and a 12/19/81 story, “The Tale Of The Tape—California Bowl Style.” The other one is a Thursday, 12/31/81 story, also by Mr. Rothman, “Satellite Says So Long,” about RCA's Satcom I. There's just one addition to the Channel 11 gallery, a Monday, 12/21/81 ad for In Good Health, “Facts About Your Lungs” with host Joe Ashton. There are three more additions to the Channel 24 gallery, the last three “24 Days About 24 News” ads. #21 is a Monday, 11/30/81 ad for their “contemporary” news set, #22 is a Tuesday, 12/1/81 ad for “important” 24 News viewers, and #24 is a Thursday, 12/3/81 ad for the news staff's “teamwork.” The only one I couldn't find was for Day #23, because that day's paper was missing. There are three more 24 News ads in the News/Special Reports Ads gallery for “Project Big Mouth.” The first one is a Thursday, 12/3/81 ad asking, “What is Project Big Mouth?” The other two (in one image) are Thursday, 12/10/81 and Friday, 12/11/81 ads for “The Bloodiest Game,” a series of reports by Tom Waniewski on dog fighting. There are three additions to the PBS gallery for shows on channel 30, including a Saturday, 11/28/81 ad for the movies, “The Virginian,” “Streets of Laredo” and “Northwest Mounted Police” and Austin City Classics. Next is a Thursday, 12/3/81 ad for Soundstage (Doc Severinsen). There's also a Saturday, 12/5/81 ad for the movies, “The Road to Utopia,” “The Road to Morocco” and “Gigi.” There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Sunday, 11/29/81 ad for the three-part mini-series, Kidnapped on SuperStation WTBS (David McCallum). There's also one addition to the Football Bowl Game Ads gallery, a Friday, 12/18/81 ad for Brondes Ford, wishing the Toledo Rockets luck in the California Bowl, in which Toledo beat San Jose State, 27-25. The last three ads today are additions to the Radio Station Ads gallery, including a Saturday, 12/5/81 ad for the WPOS-FM Annual Sharathon. There are two more for WOHO-AM, a Saturday, 12/12/81 ad for an Ohio State vs. W. Virginia basketball game, and a Thursday, 12/31/81 ad for Rap with Carty Finkbeiner. January 1982 ads from the online archives of The Toledo Blade, are on the way...
