I added 25 more ads today, all from November, 1981, plus two more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade, both by Norman Dresser. The first one is a Friday, 11/6/81 story, “Public TV Joins Campaign To Expand Evening News” and also includes other items about a CBC program on The Andersons of Maumee, Mary Beth Zolik, WGTE-TV Veterans Day specials, and Satcom IV. The other one is a Thursday, 11/12/81 story, “Detroit's WJR Dismisses Six” and other items about a PBS documentary, the growth of the FM radio audience and shrinking of the AM audience, Lima's WTLW-TV, and Paula Harris leaving WTVG for WEWS. There are three additions to the Channel 11 gallery, all for evening shows. There's a Monday, 11/2/81 ad for Private Benjamin, “Give Me Liberty” part one, The Two of Us, “The Duke of Lawford,” M*A*S*H, “Identity Crisis,” House Calls, “Last Weekend,” Lou Grant “Wedding” and Toledo Eleven News. Next is a Thursday, 11/5/81 ad for PM Magazine (Kenny Rogers), Magnum P.I., “Memories are Forever,” Jessica Novak, “Closeup News” (Helen Shaver) and Toledo Eleven News. There's also a Wednesday, 11/18/81 ad for PM Magazine, Mr. Merlin, “The Two Faces of Zac,” WKRP in Cincinnati, “Three Days of the Condo,” Nurse, “My Life as a Woman,” Shannon, “Neither a Borrower” and Toledo Eleven News. There are three more WTOL ads among the four additions to the News/Special Reports Ads gallery, a Monday, 11/2/81 ad for a Terry Thill series of reports, “Tax Moves,” a Tuesday, 11/3/81 ad for their election coverage, and a Monday, 11/9/81 ad for a Bob Lawrence series of reports, “Mad as Hell.” There's also one for channel 13 in that gallery, a Tuesday, 11/2/81 ad for their election coverage. There's one addition to the Channel 24 gallery, a Tuesday, 11/17/81 ad for Ohio Lottery drawings, and there are thirteen additions to the Channel 24 News gallery, all for the “24 Days About 24 News” campaign. Each ad contained the definition of a word using someone from 24 News as an example. The Monday, 11/2/81 ad described Paul Rae as “dynamic” and the Tuesday, 11/3/81 ad described Rosemary Collins as “Effective.” The Wednesday, 11/4/81 ad described Jim Tichy as “energetic,” the Thursday, 11/5/81 ad described Dave Carlson as “dependable” and the Friday, 11/6/81 ad described Regina Benjamin as “humanistic.” The next one is a Monday, 11/9/81 ad for “inquisitive” Heather MacKenzie, followed by a Tuesday, 11/10/81 ad for “probing” Celso Rodriguez, and a Wednesday, 11/11/81 ad for “investigative” Joel Feick. There's a Thursday, 11/12/81 ad for “daring” Tom Waniewski and a Friday, 11/13/81 ad for “refreshing” Shelley Czeizler. Day #11 was a Monday, 11/16/81 ad for “aggressive” Dan Saevig, Day #12 was a Tuesday, 11/17/81 ad for “persistent” Diane Larson and Day #13 was a Wednesday, 11/18/81 ad for “dedicated” Rebecca Aguilar. There are also three additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery including a Sunday, 11/15/81 ad for a University of Toledo Star Trek Bloopers Show. Next is a Tuesday, 11/17/81 ad for Sony Betamax SL-5800 Video Recorders at Phil's TV and Appliance. The last one is a another 11/17/81 (full-page) ad for Toledo's first McDonald's Mini-Mac which was located near UT.
