I added eight more ads today from September, 1981 plus one more Random Pages gallery addition, Saturday, 9/26/81 items from that day's Electronic Press Box by Seymour Rothman, “Views of Sorts On News In Sports,” about ESPN teaming up with ABC, CBS carrying U.S. Open Tennis, and boxing on closed-circuit pay-per-view. There are two additions to the Channel 13 gallery for late afternoon shows, a Tuesday, 9/22/81 ad for Happy Days (Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Anson Williams, Donny Most) and a Thursday, 9/24/81 ad for M*A*S*H (Wayne Rogers, Alan Alda, Loretta Swit, Gary Burghoff). There's one addition to the Channel 24 gallery, a Monday, 9/28/81 ad for Here's Lucy. There's also one addition to The CableSystem Ch. 5 gallery, a Thursday, 9/24/81 ad for a Merrill Lynch special program on the 1981 Tax Act. There's one addition to the Radio Station Ads gallery, a Monday, 9/28/81 ad for WVOI-AM 1520, “Toledo's Most Sophisticated Rhythm,” and there are three additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery. There's a Thursday, 9/24/81 ad for the Leonard-Hearns Fight on HBO, via Ultra Vision in Toledo. Next is another 9/24/81 ad, for A Little Miracle (Mickey Rooney), seen on channels 11, 13 and 24 and later on The CableSystem's channel 5, as a public service on behalf of the United Way. The last one is a Saturday, 9/26/81 full-page ad for the grand opening of the Toledo Trust branch in Sylvania Twp. October 1981 ads, from the online archives of The Toledo Blade, are on the way...
