December 29, 2013: Television Without The CableSystem

 

I added twelve more ads today, all from October 1990, plus two Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade. The first one is a Wednesday, 10/3/90 story by Tom Ensign, "Ch. 30 Documentary Offers Insights to Homeless Problem," about the program, No House To Hold: The Homeless Story, which also aired on channel 24. There were other items as well, about channel 30 changing the show Friday to Thursday Night, and their 30th anniversary. The other one is a Friday, 10/5/90 "Blade Runner" item by Alan Abrams about Toledo's radio ratings. There are three additions to the PBS gallery, for "Showcase Week" programming on Channel 30, starting with a Monday, 10/1/90 ad for The Infinite Voyage, "The Keepers of Eden" and The American Experience, "Lindbergh." Next is a Tuesday, 10/2/90 ad for Nova, "The KGB, the Computer & Me" and Frontline Special Report, "Global Dumping Ground." There's also a Thursday, 10/4/90 ad for Thursday Night (Greg Carson, Kathy Wyatt) and Race to Save the Planet. There are six additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, including three "Television Without The CableSystem" ads, a Wednesday, 10/3/90 ad, a Thursday, 10/4/90 ad, and a Friday, 10/5/90 ad. Next are two "Television With The CableSystem" ads for The Family Channel, a Friday, 10/12/90 ad for Big Brother Jake, Rin Tin Tin K-9 Cop, Zorro, and Maniac Mansion, and a Saturday, 10/13/90 ad for The Adventures of the Black Stallion, Bordertown, Zorro, and Rin Tin Tin K-9 Cop. And there's a Saturday, 10/1/90 ad for PASS Sports on channel 17-A, featuring a Pistons game with the Clippers. There are three additions to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, a Monday, 10/1/90 ad for Hawaii Five-0 (Jack Lord), a Monday, 10/8/90 ad for The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and a Friday, 10/12/90 ad for The Best of Ohio Series (thoroughbred racing from Cleveland).
