November 14, 2013: It's a Real Beauty!!

 

There are six additional ads today, all from June 1990, plus five more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade, the first three by Tom Ensign. There's a Saturday, 6/9/90 story, “Medical Production Firm Hires Ch. 13 News Director,” followed by a Friday, 6/15/90 story, “News Director Noleff Out in Cuts at Channel 24.” Also included are items on the Jefferson Awards, WGTE-FM, and WRED-FM's Buddy Carr. Next is a Friday, 6/22/90 story, “Threatening Weather Starts a Process of Information.” The other two are about radio stations, a Monday, 6/25/90 story by John Lis, “WOSE-FM Changes Call Letters, Format, Location” (to WXKR-FM), and a Tuesday, 6/26/90 story, “WOHO Audience Hearing Nothing But WWWM Format.” There's one addition to the Channel 13 gallery, a Saturday, 6/16/90 ad for The Miss Ohio Scholarship Pageant. There's also one addition to the Channel 24 News gallery, a Monday, 6/18/90 ad for 24 NewsWatch with Greg Carson and Don Edwards, for their only nightly newscast, at 5:30 P.M. There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, as well, a Tuesday, 6/12/90 ad for HBO's coverage of the Mike Tyson vs. Henry Tillman fight, plus George Foreman vs. Adilson Rodrigues. And there's one addition to the Radio Station Ads gallery, a Friday, 6/8/90 ad for WOTL-FM 90.3 (Listen to the Bible...). The last two ads today, are additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery, both of them full-page ads. The first one is a Wednesday, 6/27/90 ad, wishing AP Parts founder, John Goerlich, a happy 92nd. Birthday, followed by a Friday, 6/29/90 Kroger ad, for the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic LPGA tournament at Highland Meadows Golf Club, in Sylvania.
