I added seventeen more ads today, all from April 1989, plus six more Random Pages gallery additions from the pages of The Blade. The first one is a Saturday, 4/1/89 story in the Religion pages, “Newest Christian Radio Station Moving Toward Self-Sufficiency,” about WOTL-FM 90.3, and includes a picture by Jack Ackerman of station manager Wayne Stoffel. The other five are Peach Section stories by Tom Ensign. There's a Saturday, 4/1/89 story, “Buckeye CableSystem Will Carry New TV Station” (W48AP) and also includes some other CableSystem items. Next is a Saturday, 4/8/89 story, “Channel 36 Brings Sajak Show to Late-Night Toledo” and also includes an item on America's Most Wanted. There's also a Wednesday, 4/12/89 story, “Channel 30 Opening Its Warehouse For the Buy-In,” and includes an item on WIOT's “Kathmandu” promotion and an item on a commercial for the Michigan Lottery being shot at Ned Skelton Stadium. There's a Thursday, 4/20/89 story, “Timonere Named Channel 30 President” (including a picture of Shirley Timonere) and also includes other TV and radio items, followed by a Saturday, 4/29/89 story, “One Man's Favorite Moments with Lucy,” about Tom Ensign's favorite I Love Lucy episodes, following the death of Lucille Ball. There are ten additions to the PBS gallery, for Channel 30 programming, including a Wednesday, 4/5/89 ad for Ohio Faces AIDS. The other nine are for the annual Channel 30 Auction, a Thursday, 4/13/89 ad (Forrester Wehrle Homes), a Friday, 4/14/89 ad (Owens-Illinois), a Saturday, 4/15/89 ad (Dana Corp.), a Monday, 4/17/89 ad (Trustcorp), a Tuesday, 4/18/89 ad (L-O-F), a Wednesday, 4/19/89 ad (Video Connection / Gaspari's), a Thursday, 4/20/89 ad (The CableSystem), a Friday, 4/21/89 ad (Trinova) and a Saturday, 4/22/89 ad for the “Grand Finale” (O-C-F). There's one addition to the Channel 36 gallery, a Monday, 4/10/89 ad for The CableSystem's free sample of HBO on WUPW-TV 36. There are two additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, including a Friday, 4/21/89 ad for “Impulse” pay-per-view programming, “Gorillas in the Mist,” “Crocodile Dundee II”, “Cocktail” plus sports and concerts. The other one is a Saturday, 4/29/89 ad for The Disney Channel's Spring Preview Weekend '89. There are three additions to the Radio Station Ads gallery, two for WSPD-AM 1370, the first one a Friday, 4/7/89 ad for their nightly talk shows, Weekend Planning, Minority Focus, shows hosted by Bruce Williams, Neil Meyers and Dara Welles, and Saturday shows, Gardenland, Talk of Toledo, Car Show, Your Horoscope, and shows hosted by Bob Madigan and Dr. Harvey Ruben. The second one for WSPD is a Friday, 4/28/89 ad for The Major League Baseball Game of the Week, featuring Detroit at Oakland. And there's a Tuesday, 4/11/89 ad for The Electrifying Mojo (Charles Johnson), on WTWR-FM 98.3. Today's last ad is an addition to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Sunday 4/30/89 ad for Oleg Cassini, competing at Raceway Park. By the way, there are now over 17,000 images on this site!
