I added seventeen more ads today, all from November 1989, plus four more Random Pages gallery additions from The Blade, the first two by Tom Ensign, in the Peach Section. There's a Wednesday, 11/8/89 story, “Ch. 30 Introducing 4-Part Series on Ohio Storytellers” and also includes another item on Garrison Keillor's American Radio Company of the Air, and two Thursday 11/23/89 items, another one on Garrison Keillor's show and one on visiting journalists in Toledo who will appear on Diaglos, on channel 13 and also on channel 48. Next is a Sunday, 11/26/89 story by Boris Nelson, “Radio's 'Live from the Met' Turns 50” and also includes a picture of announcer Peter Allen. And there's a Monday, 11/27/89 item about the Toledo Public Schools FM station, “WXTS Back on the Air.” There are four additions to the Channel 24 gallery, including a Monday, 11/6/89 ad for Family Feud (“Good Answer! Great Fun!”). Next is a Tuesday, 11/7/89 ad for A Current Affair (Maury Povich) and a Sunday, 11/12/89 ad for “Small Sacrifices” (Farrah Fawcett). There's also a Sunday, 11/26/89 Blade ad for The Editors (John Robinson Block, Thomas Walton). The guest that week was Toledo councilman-elect Peter Silverman. There are two additions to the Channel 36 gallery, both for Fox shows, a Monday, 11/6/89 ad for 21 Jump Street, “Out of Control” and Alien Nation, “Contact,” and a Wednesday, 11/15/89 ad for “Predator” on Fox Night at the Movies. There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Friday, 11/24/89 ad for programming on Impulse pay-per-view, “K-9,” “Ghostbusters II,” “Ernest Saves Christmas,” “Scrooged” and The Rolling Stones Steel Wheels Tour Live. There are six additions to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, including three for movies on The Big Show, a Tuesday, 11/7/89 ad for “Too Late the Hero,” a Thursday, 11/9/89 ad for “Rumor of War,” and a Monday, 11/13.89 ad for “Blue Hawaii,” the first of five “Elvis Week” movies. There are two more for sports, a Thursday, 11/10/89 ad for an Israel National Team vs Notre Dame basketball game, and a Saturday, 11/11/89 ad for two college football games, SMU at Notre Dame and Toledo at Northern Illinois. And there's a Thursday, 11/16/89 ad for weeknight shows, Bugs Bunny and Friends, The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Love Lucy, and 13 News on Cable, a rerun of WTVG's 6 O'Clock news program. That ad was also for that night's Elvis Presley movie, “Girls, Girls, Girls.” There are three additions to the Radio Station Ads gallery. The first one is a Wednesday, 11/8/89 ad for “Country” Dan Dixon on WTOD. Next is a Friday, 11/24/89 ad for The Notre Dame Game of the Week (vs. Miami), on WCWA. The ad had Bob Kelly and Dennis Staples drawn as caricatures. The last one is a Saturday, 11/25/89 ad for Garrison Keillor's American Radio Company of the Air, on WGTE / WGLE-FM, the subject of two Peach Section stories above. Today's last addition is to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Sunday, 11/26/89 ad for “The Nutcracker on Ice” at the Toledo Sports Arena, sponsored by WTVG-TV 13 and produced by Belkin Productions.
