I added thirteen more ads today, all from September 1989, plus two more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade. The first one is a Saturday, 9/23/89 story by Chip Towns, “ToledoVision 5 Keeping Things Hot for Football Fans.” The other one is a Monday, 9/25/89 story by Tom Ensign, “Federal Grant to Enhance Ch. 30 Stereo Capabilities” and also includes other items, about Diane Larson, Orris Tabner, Chris Cottom, and Brain and Cleveland O'Neal, former Toledoans responsible for the “CBS Saturday Fun” promorions. There are two additions to the Channel 24 gallery, a Saturday, 9/16/89 ad for The Dan Simrell Show, which was also seen on CableSystem Channels 3B/10B, and a Sunday, 9/24/89 ad for “The Preppie Murder” on The ABC Sunday Night Movie. There are three additions to the PBS gallery, all for movies on Channel 30. There's a Friday, 9/15/89 ad for “Exodus” (Paul Newman), a Saturday, 9/16/89 ad for “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” (Paul Newman, Robert Redford) and a Sunday, 9/17/89 ad for three movies, “By Love Possessed” (Lana Turner, Efram Zimbalist, Jr.), “Soloman and Sheba” (Yul Brynner, Gina Lollobrigida) and “Doctor Doolittle” (Anthony Newly). There's one addition to the Channel 36 gallery, a Monday, 9/18/89 ad for the 21 Jump Street episode, “Draw the Line.” There's also one addition to the Channel 48 gallery, a Monday, 9/18/89 ad for three more high school football games, St. Francis vs. Waite, Perrysburg vs. Rossford, and Rogers vs. Bowsher. There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, too, a Saturday, 9/16/89 ad for “The CableSystem Weekend Telethon Special Offer.” There are four additions to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, including a Saturday, 9/16/89 ad for The MAC Game of the Week, featuring Eastern Michigan vs. Ohio U. Next is a Thursday, 9/21/89 ad for The Andy Griffith Show, “The Mayberry Chef,” followed by two more football ads, a Friday, 9/22/89 ad for two games, Ball State vs. Toledo and Washington vs. Arizona, and a Monday, 9/25/89 ad for The Lou Holtz Show, the Notre Dame coach's weekly show. Today's last ad is an addition to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Friday, 9/22/89 ad for Tony Packo's Cafe (“Tony Packo's Makes My Life Complete”). 1980s Halloween ads, from the online archives of The Toledo Blade are on the way.
