I added nine more ads today, all from December, 1980, plus three more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade. There are two Tuesday, 12/16/80 stories by Norman Dresser, “ABC, Warner Amex Set Up Cable Programming Venture” and “WGTE Membership Drive Receives $84,625 In Pledges.” There's another 12/16/80 story, “FCC Approves WGOR Sale” and a Friday, 12/19/80 story, “Toledo Girl Captures Top Prize,” about 12-year-old Sherrice Williams winning a CableSystem/Movie Channel contest. There are five additions to the Channel 11 gallery, two for In the Balcony at the Bijou, a Saturday, 12/13/80 ad for “The Execution of Private Slovik” (Martin Sheen) and a Saturday, 12/20/80 ad for “Vanishing Point” (Barry Newman). The other three are for PM Magazine, a Tuesday, 12/16/80 ad (Roy Rogers), a Thursday, 12/18/80 ad (Christopher Reeve) and a Friday, 12/26/80 ad (Lawrence Welk). The 12/18/80 program also had a segment on Toledo's John Saunders (and his father, Allen Saunders), writers of the comic strips, Mary Worth and Steve Roper. There's one more in the News/Special Reports Ads gallery, a Monday, 12/15/80 ad for a Toledo Eleven News series of reports by Dan Cummins, “Gifts for the Health of It.” There's one addition to the Channel 13 gallery, a Saturday, 12/13/80 ad for Rocket Basketball with Toledo playing the University of Detroit. There's one addition to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Thursday, 12/25/80 ad for the Toledo debut of ESPN.
