I added twenty more ads today, all from October, 1978 plus seven more Random Pages gallery additions, from Peach Sections of The Blade. There are two Wednesday, 10/4/78 items by Norman Dresser, about a channel 30 program on Phil Donahue's Toledo appearance and a free preview of Showtime on The CableSystem. There are four Thursday, 10/5/78 items, again by Dresser, about Toledo children appearing on Kidsworld, channel 30 carrying Sneak Previews, WSPD-AM airing a tribute to Edgar Bergen and Monroe Cablevision carrying HBO. There's also another 10/5/78 story, “Ch. 24 Drops Four in Reorganization.” Next is a Tuesday, 10/10/78 story by Dresser, “'Vibrations' On Ch. 30 Makes Auspicious Debut” which also includes an item about the return of NBC's chimes. There's also a Wednesday, 10/18/78 story, “BG Students Staging Comedy Show,” about The Insomniac Hour on WBGU-FM and a Wednesday, 10/25/78 story, again by Dresser, “Toledo Television Stations Reject Controversial Shows.” And finally, there's a Thursday, 10/26/78 story, “Pair Leaving Ch. 13 To Join Detroit's Ch. 4,” about Roger Weber and Dave Cromwell. There are two additions to Channel 11 gallery, including a Monday, 10/9/78 ad for five movies on The Big Show, “Berserk,” “Another Time, Another Place,” “Under the Yum Yum Tree,” “The Caddy” and “Strangers When We Meet.” There's also a Wednesday, 10/25/78 ad for their 7-8 PM shows, The Brady Bunch and Mary Tyler Moore. There's one more in the Channel 11 News gallery, a Monday, 10/11/78 ad for Toledo Eleven News at noon, 6 & 11pm (Jeff Heitz, Joe Ashton, Orris Tabner). There are two additions to the News/Special Reports Ads gallery, both for channel 13. The first one is a Thursday, 10/12/78 ad for a special edition of Minority Report, “The State of Black America” (Bill Harris), which followed a John Saunders special report on parolee rehabilitation called “Outside Chance.” There's also a Friday, 10/20/78 ad for a six-part series of reports, “Running: Step by Step” on 13 Nightly News, with Randy Price, Nanci Riley, Jim Mengel, Frank Gilhooley and Jennifer Blome. There's also one in the Channel 13 News gallery, a Tuesday, 10/24/78 ad for Jennifer Blome's weather reports on 13 Nightly News. There's one addition to the Channel 24 gallery, a Thursday, 10/5/78 ad for Ohio Lottery drawings. There are six additions to the PBS gallery including one for channel 57, a Wednesday, 10/4/78 ad for Cooking Mexican. There are five more for channel 30, including another 10/4/78 ad, for Tube Power.
