I added 21 more ads today from January and February 1972 plus five more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of the Blade, including a Friday, 1/14/72 report from the Washington Bureau, "FCC Approves Napoleon FM Station permit," about future station WNDH-FM 103.1, followed by 1/15/72 stories by Norman Dresser, "Educational Series on 8 PTV Stations," about Getting It Together, produced by WBGU-TV and "'Brian's Song' Rated as Top Movie" plus an item about CBS abandoning their electronic video recorder operation. Next is a Friday, 1/21/72 Washington Bureau report, "Lima TV Station Sale Approved," about the sale of WLIO-TV 35 and a Tuesday, 2/1/72 story, "Operation of Lima TV Outlet Is Assumed by New Owner." There are more Saturday, 2/7/72 stories by Norman Dresser, "WLQR Will Play 'Superstar' Album" plus "'Romper Room' Gets New Look Next Week," "Crime-Fighting Special Scheduled by Ch. 11" and "Donahue Shows Set in Prison." That story stated that channel 13 was showing episodes of The Phil Donahue Show two weeks after channel 2 in Detroit did. There's also one more story, "CBS News to Feature Chuck Ealey." There are six ads in the Channel 11 gallery including a Monday, 1/17/72 ad for syndicated morning show, What Every Woman Wants to Know (Bess Myerson). There are three more ads for movies on The Big Show, a Thursday, 2/10/72 ad for "Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte" (Bette Davis), a Tuesday, 2/15/72 ad for "The Further Perils of Laurel and Hardy" and a Wednesday, 2/16/72 ad for "Up From the Beach" (Cliff Robertson). There's also a Saturday, 2/12/72 ad for "Francis Goes to the Races" on The Late Show and a Monday, 2/14/72 ad for The CBS Late Movie, which premiered on 2/14/72 with "A Patch of Blue." Movies for the rest of the week were "The Anniversary," "Twilight of Honor," "The Glass Bottom Boat" and "The Fearless Vampire Killers." There's another channel 11 ad in the News/Special Reports Ads gallery, a Monday, 2/7/72 ad for Fighting Crime with Science which also includes the Blade's TV Highlights description. There's also one from channel 24 in that gallery, a Friday, 2/12/72 ad for China...An Open Door? a syndicated special produced by the Associated Press, which aired in conjuction with President Nixon's trip to China. There are four ads in the Channel 13 gallery, two for NBC series premieres. There's a Friday, 1/14/72 ad for Sanford and Son "Crossed Swords" (Redd Foxx, Demond Wilson) and a Saturday, 1/22/72 ad for Emergency! "The Mascot." (Randolph Mantooth, Kevin Tighe).
