I added 21 more ads today from September and October 1971 plus three more Random Pages gallery additions from Peach Sections of The Blade. There's a Saturday, 9/25/71 Seymour Rothman story on CBS Evening News coverage of the Toledo University football team's winning streak (which between '69 and '71 was 35 games) and also includes a Monday, 9/27/71 follow-up story. Next is a Saturday, 10/9/71 Norman Dresser story, "Four Radio Stations Will Focus on TU-BG Football Game" along with three other stories, "Toledo Outlet to Air Notre Dame Football," "Helicopter Traffic Reports on WSPD" and "Several New Series Already in Trouble." By the way, Toledo beat BG 24-7 in that game. There's also a Saturday, 10/16/71 picture of Beverly Schwind and Sue Donner (Patches and Pockets) for the series premiere of their show on that day. The program aired opposite channel 13's Uncle Ben. There are just two ads in the Channel 11 gallery. The first one is a 9/25/71 ad for their Saturday night shows, Hee Haw, now in syndication and CBS shows, All in the Family "Gloria Poses in the Nude," Funny Face "How to with Goofy Grape," The New Dick Van Dyke Show "A Star Ain't Born," Mary Tyler Moore "I Am Curious Cooper" and Mission: Impossible "Encore." The second one is a 9/26/71 ad for their Sunday night shows, Wild Kingdom (syndicated), two CBS shows, The CBS Sunday Night Movies "Bandolero" and Cade's County "Company Town," and Towards the Year 2000 and "The Strange Door" on The Late Show (Boris Karloff). There are five in the Channel 13 gallery including a Monday, 9/20/71 ad for Perry Mason "The Case of the Lucky Legs" (Raymond Burr), Truth or Consequences (Bob Barker), Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In and the conclusion of "The Alamo" on NBC Monday Night at the Movies (John Wayne). Part one aired on Saturday. Next is a Wednesday, 9/22/71 ad for The Venner-Ward Report, Truth or Consequences and two NBC shows, McCloud "Encounter with Aries" on The NBC Mystery Movie (Dennis Weaver) and Night Gallery "A Death in the Family," "The Merciful," "Class of '99" and "Witches' Feast" (Rod Serling). There are three more ads which are all for The Venner-Ward Report, NBC Nightly News, What's My Line?, Truth or Consequences and NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The Monday, 10/25/71 ad (Bob Barker) is also for two NBC shows, Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In and NBC Monday Night at the Movies "How to Frame a Fig." The Wednesday, 10/27/71 ad is also for The Noon Report (June Miller) and three NBC shows, Adam-12 "The Ferret", Columbo "Dead Weight" on The NBC Mystery Movie and Night Gallery, and the Thursday, 10/28/71 ad (Frank Venner) is also for three NBC shows, The Flip Wilson Show, Nichols Starring James Garner "Deer Crossing" and The Dean Martin Show. There are three ads in the Channel 24 gallery including a Thursday, 9/23/71 ad for two ABC shows, Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law "A Lonely Stretch of Beach" (Arthur Hill) and Longstreet "A World of Perfect Complicity" (James Franciscus). Next is a Wednesday, 10/13/71 ad for ABC's The Man and the City "Reprisal" (Anthony Quinn) followed by a Thursday, 10/14/71 ad for Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law "Make No Mistake." There are five ads in the Radio Station Ads gallery. The first one is a Monday, 9/20/71 ad for WLQR-FM 101.5 followed by a Friday, 10/1/71 ad for Wonderful Music Heard Everyday on WMHE-FM 92.5. There's also a Friday, 10/8/71 ad for Notre Dame Football on Gerity Broadcasting's WABJ-AM 1490 in Adrian, also carried on Toledo's WMHE-FM 92.5.
