June 6, 2011: Cooking Can Be Fun

I added 22 more ads today, from October, 1966 and March, April and May, 1967. The reason for the five-month gap was because of a strike against the Blade from October 24, 1966 - March 21, 1967. Most of today's ads are for WTOL-TV with nine of them in the Channel 11 gallery. There's a Wednesday, 10/19/66 ad for Let's Go to the Races and two Thursday movies, "Excuse My Dust" on The One O'Clock Movie and "Tarzan's Greatest Adventure" on The Big Show. There's also a 10/21/66 ad for "The Racers" on Friday Night at the Movies (Kirk Douglas, Bella Darvi). Next is a Saturday, 10/22/66 ad for Death Valley Days "The Kid From Hell's Kitchen" (Robert Blake), "The Proud and the Profane" on NBC Saturday Night at the Movies and "Tribute to a Bad Man" on The Late Show (James Cagney). There are three more for CBS specials, a Monday, 4/3/67 ad for a repeat of Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music (Part II), a Monday 4/10/67 ad for a repeat of Charlie Brown's All-Stars and a Tuesday, 4/11/67 ad for The Dick Van Dyke Special.
