Today I added 21 ads, all from October, 1967 and in the Random Pages gallery, a Thursday, 10/12/67 AP story in the Blade about the Detroit Red Wings new $500,000 radio-TV contract which included Budd Lynch and Bruce Martyn providing commentary with Barry DeChant joining in during intermissions on channel 50. There are five ads in the Channel 11 gallery. There's a Tuesday, 10/3/67 ad for NBC's coverage of the World Series (St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red Sox), a Wednesday, 10/11/67 ad for a CBS special, The Belle of 14th Street (Barbra Streisand) and a Tuesday, 10/17/67 ad for CBS Playhouse "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Life" (Melvyn Douglas, Shirley Booth). There's also another 10/17/67 ad for Crazy Races with Soupy Sales and a Tuesday, 10/24/67 ad for the Diaing for Dollars segments on The Big Show. There are two more "Moving forward with Toledo..." ads in the Channel 11 News gallery, a Tuesday, 10/10/67 ad and a Monday, 10/23/67 ad. There are also two in the Channel 13 gallery. There's a 10/23/67 ad for Monday night shows The Twilight Zone, Gilligan's Island, ABC prime-time shows Cowboy in Africa "The Adopted One," Coach Bryant: Alabama's Bear (special), Peyton Place and another special, The Long Childhood of Timmy, and starting and ending with Deadline news. There's also a 10/24/67 ad for Tuesday night shows The Twilight Zone, Make Room for Daddy, ABC prime-time shows Garrison's Gorillas "Now I Lay Me Down to Die," The Invaders "Dark Outpost" and a special, Kismet, and again, starting and ending with Deadline news. There are two more in the Channel 13 News gallery for Deadline, a Wednesday, 10/4/67 ad (Gordon Ward, Jim Uebelhart) and a Wedmesday, 10/11/67 ad (Frank Venner, Jim Rudes). There's just one in the Channel 24 gallery, a Friday, 10/20/67 ad for the first of ten televised Toledo Blades International Hockey League games, this one vs. the Columbus Checkers, in black-and-white. There's also one in the NET gallery, a Wednesday, 10/18/67 ad for The People Question Vice President Humphrey on channel 30. There are six ads in the Radio Station Ads gallery, including a Monday, 10/16/67 ad for another computer-simulated boxing match on WSPD-AM (Rocky Marciano vs. Gene Tunney).
