May 2, 2011: New from RCA for 1966

Today I added another 20 ads, from October and November 1965. There are eight in the Channel 11 gallery, including ads for movies on Hollywood Spectacular, The Sunday Show, Night Owl Theater, The One O'Clock Movie, The Big Show and NBC Saturday Night at the Movies. There's a Saturday, 10/23/65 ad for "Stalag 17" (William Holden) and "I'd Climb the Highest Mountain" (William Lundigan, Susan Hayward), a Sunday, 10/24/65 ad for "King of the Khyber Rifles" (Tyrone Power), a Wednesday, 10/27/65 ad for "Private Hell 36" (Steve Cochran, Ida Lupino) and a Friday, 10/29/65 ad for "Miracle of the Bells" (Fred MacMurray). There's also a Saturday, 10/30/65 ad for "Merry Andrew" (Danny Kaye) and "Broken Arrow" (James Stewart), a Monday, 11/1/65 ad for a special, The Best of Country and Western (Eddie Arnold) and "The Bravados" (Gregory Peck), a Tuesday, 11/2/65 ad for another special, The Making of the Presdient-1964 and "Queen Bee" (Joan Crawford) and a Wednesday, 11/3/65 ad for "The 49th Man" (John Ireland) and "The Steel Bayonet." There are six more in the Channel 13 gallery including some for movies on Movietime 13 and The Friday Night Movie. There's a Tuesday, 10/26/65 ad for "Sabu and the Magic Ring," a Wednesday, 10/27/65 ad for "Three Outlaws" and a Friday, 10/29/65 ad for "Hell on Frisco Bay" (Alan Ladd). Next is a Monday, 11/1/65 ad for Ben Casey "Then I, and You, and All of Us Fall Down" (Vince Edwards) and "Sierra Stranger" (Howard Duff), a Tuesday, 11/2/65 ad for The Fugitive "An Apple a Day" and "Bomba the Jungle Boy" (Johnny Sheffield, Peggy Ann Garner) and a Wedmesday, 11/3/65 ad for The Big Valley "My Son, My Son" (Linda Evans) and "Invasion of the Saucer Men." There are also two more Sunday, 10/24/65 ads, one in the Channel 13 News gallery for Deadline (Sharon Martin) and one in the News/Special Reports Ads gallery, a for the Potter-Skeldon Debate. John Potter would go on to defeat Ned Skeldon in the mayoral race.
