September 11, 2010: Bedtime Stories

I added 19 more ads today from May, June and July 1990 plus another TV Guide page in the Random Pages gallery. It's a page from Friday 6/8/90 with some 5:30, 6:00 & 6:30 PM listings and a "Friday Guidlines" box which includes a description of the last episode of It's Garry Shandling's Show called "Driving Miss Garry" on Showtime. The Channel 36 gallery has four nore movie ads for "Absence of Malice" (Paul Newman, Sally Field), "Running Scared" (Gregory Hines, Billy Crystal), "Poltergeist II: The Other Side" (JoBeth Williams, Heather O'Rourke, Craig T. Nelson) and "An Officer and a Gentleman" (Louis Gossett, Jr.). There are four more ads (each with a TV Guide close-up description) in the ABC gallery, one for the 1990 Indianapolis 500, a full-page ad for the 2nd International Rock Awards (Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Melissa Etheridge, Aerosmith, Madonna, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt), one for ABC's Wide World of Sports (The Belmont Stakes) and a full-page ad for an ABC News Special called "The Perfect Baby" (Barbara Walters). There are three full-page ads in the FOX gallery, one for The Rolling Stones Steel Wheels Concert, which also includes a TV Guide close-up description and two ads for Fox Night at the Movies, one for "Less Than Zero" (Robert Downey, Jr., Andrew McCarthy, Jami Gertz, James Spader) and one for "Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise." The NBC gallery has two, a four-part ad on two pages for Let's Make a Deal (Bob Hilton) and an ad and TV Guide close-up description for the premiere of Real Life with Jane Pauley. There are four more in the Vintage Cable Ads Gallery, an ESPN ad for three Memorial Day Major League Baseball games (Giants vs. Cubs, Mets vs. Reds and Blue Jays vs. Athletics), a full-page ad and TV Guide close-up description for the TNN Music City News Country Awards (Jimmy Dean, Barbara Mandrell), an HBO full-page ad for Tales from the Crypt and a TNT full-page ad for "Sweet Revenge" (Rosanna Arquette, Carrie Fisher). The last two ads are in the Other Vintage ads gallery, a full-page ad for AT&T (apples and oranges) and a half-page ad for the theatrical release of "Dick Tracy" (Warren Beatty).
