July 21, 2010: Grampa is Back!

I added 21 more ads today from November and December 1988. There are two full-page ads in the ABC gallery, one is a color ad for the season premieres of Wednesday night shows The Wonder Years (Jason Hervey, Fred Savage, Olivia d'Abo, Dan Lauria, Alley Mills), Hooperman (John Ritter) and China Beach (Dana Delany) and the other is an ad for The Wonder Years season premiere episode "Heart of Darkness" (Josh Soviano, Fred Savage). There are two in the CBS gallery, one for the TV 101 series premiere episode "Rolling" (Sam Robards and cast including Matt LeBlanc, Stacey Dash and Teri Polo) and a full-page ad for The Young and Restless (Doug Davidson, Holly Gagnier) and the NBC gallery has a full-page ad for the Matlock season premiere episode "The Lemon" (Don Knotts, Andy Griffith). There are four more ads in the Vintage Cable Ads gallery. There are two CNN full-page ads, one for Daybreak, PrimeNews and Evening News and one for Sports Tonight, a TLC ad for It's About Time and an ad for CVN's Fine Jewelry Collection. There are eleven more ads in the TBS gallery. One for an NBA game between Atlanta and Dallas (Dominique Wilkins), one for National Geographic Explorer (Real-Life Tarzan), one for Larry King's Night of Soviet Television and eight more movie ads for "Northwest Passage" on Award Theatre (Spencer Tracy, Robert Young), "Where Eagles Dare" (Clint Eastwood, Richard Burton), "Patton" (George C. Scott), "Take the High Ground" (Karl Malden, Richard Widmark), "Sins of the Past" (Kirstie Alley), "Never So Few" (Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, Peter Lawford), "War of the Gargantuas" on Super Scary Saturday (Al Lewis as Grampa) and "Battle of the Bulge" (Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda). The last one is in the Ohio & W. Pennsylvania gallery. It's a WHIO-TV ad for a Newscenter 7 report by Scott Mason on Miami Valley's Japanese Connection. More from December 1988 are on the way...
