There are 18 new ads today, all from February 1987 plus an addition to the Random Pages gallery for a two-page TV Guide roundup of mid-season ratings for ABC, CBS and NBC shows. NBC was number one at the time with The Cosby Show and Family Ties leading the way. The ABC gallery has three ads, one for a 20/20 report on condoms and two for Our World, one here (Fall 1949) and one here (Summer 1939). The CBS gallery has three ads, one for a repeat of the 1985 special It's Your 20th Anniversary, Charlie Brown (Charles Schulz), one for another CBS special, Candid Camera: The First 40 Years (Alan Funt) and a full-page ad and TV Guide close-up for the Magnum, P.I. episode "Laura" (Frank Sinatra, Tom Selleck). The NBC gallery has four ads, two full-page ads for daytime series Another World and Santa Barbara, one for the L.A. Law episode "Beef Jerky" (Corbin Bernsen, Jill Eikenberry) and one for the World Premiere Movie "Perry Mason: The Case of the Lost Love" (Raymond Burr, Jean Simmons, Barbara Hale, William Katt, David Ogden Stiers, Gene Barry, Robert Mandan). The TBS gallery has eight ads, one for their coverage of the 1987 NBA All-Star Weekend, one for Letters from a Dead Man, a special two-hour Soviet drama on nuclear war, one for the The New Leave it to Beaver episode "A Night in Mayfield" (Ken Osmond, Tony Dow) and five more movie ads for "The Fighting Kentuckian" (John Wayne), the colorized version of "Captain Blood" (Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland), "The Wings of Eagles" (John Wayne), "Task Force" on Award Theatre (Gary Cooper, Jane Wyatt) and "Walking Tall" (Joe Don Baker).
