April 7, 2010: Highway to Hell Town

There are 18 new ads today, all from September 1985 plus one new addition to the Random Pages gallery which has a few Saturday afternoon listings and a 'close-up' for the 9/14/85 Notre Dame at Michigan football game (Michigan won 26-12). The ABC gallery has two ads, one for ABC's NFL Monday Night Football with Frank Gifford, O.J. Simpson and Joe Namath calling the action with Pittsburgh at Cleveland (the Browns won 17-7) and one ad and a TV Guide close-up description for the ABC News Special 45/85 with Peter Jennings and Ted Koppel. Video clips are available here. There's one CBS full-page ad for the premiere of The Equalizer (Edward Woodward) in the CBS gallery. The NBC gallery has six ads, three for the series premiere of Hell Town (Robert Blake), one on two-pages plus a TV Guide listings description, one two-page ad for the series premiere of The Golden Girls (Rue McClanahan, Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty, Betty White), one (on two pages) for Wednesday night shows Highway to Heaven (Michael Landon) and Hell Town (Robert Blake) and one for the fourth season premiere of St. Elsewhere (Alfre Woodard, David Morse, William Daniels, Ed Begley, Jr. and Mark Harmon). The Vintage Cable Ads gallery has an HBO ad for 1st & Ten (Delta Burke). The TBS gallery has three ads, one for "S.O.S. Titanic" and one for "Strategic Air Command," both on Award Theatre and one for Monday night original shows Down to Earth, Safe at Home and Rocky Road. There are five out-of-town ads for Dayton stations in the Ohio/W. Pennsylvania gallery. Two are WDTN-TV2 ads, one for The Price is Right (Tom Kennedy) and one for Small Wonder (Tiffany Brisette), two are WHIO-TV7 ads, one for Diff'rent Strokes (Gary Coleman) and one for the premiere of daytime series America and there's one WKEF-TV22 ad for Barney Miller (Hal Linden).
