Feb. 10, 2010: Jack's Back

There are 16 additions today from December 1983 and January 1984. The ABC gallery has an ad for the 1984 Sugar Bowl (Auburn beat Michigan 9-7) and a two-page ad for the premiere of Blue Thunder, one of two 1984 series with a helicopter (the other was Airwolf). The CBS gallery has three, one for a special, All-Star Party for Frank Sinatra, one for New Year's Day Parades and one for "The Seduction of Gina" (Michael Brandon & Valerie Bertinelli) seen on the CBS Tuesday Night Movies. The NBC gallery has three more, one for "Coast to Coast" (Robert Blake & Dyan Cannon), one for NBC's New Year's Day lineup and a two-page ad for the 2-hour premiere of Riptide (Joe Penny, Thom Bray, Perry King). By the way, all the 1984 New Year's Day programming was on January 2nd because the 1st was on Sunday (when the NFL games were played). The Cable ads gallery has two, one is a full-page ad for CNN (Is network news a thing of the past?) and one for Nashville Now (Lee Greenwood) on TNN. The TBS gallery has a full-page ad for the premiere of the mini-series Centennial. There are three more in a new gallery of CBN ads (located right above the TBS gallery) for Wagon Train (John McIntyre), one for The Rifleman (Chuck Connors) and one for The Jack Benny Show. The last two are in the Random Pages gallery, one a 'News Update' with stories on the Paramount / Showtime deal and the success of Fame in syndication and the other is a two-page guide to the '84 New Year's Bowl Games. More from February 1984 (including 1984 Winter Olympics ads) are on the way...
