November 28, 2010: Get Sterned!

 

I added 19 more ads today from May and June 1994 plus one more page to the Random Pages gallery. It's a 6/1/94 TV Guide page with a close-up for MTV Unplugged with Tony Bennett. There are three in the ABC gallery, a full-page ad and a TV Guide close-up for ABC's 40th Anniversary Special, one for the special Edith Ann: Homeless Go Home (Lily Tomlin) and an ad and TV Guide close-up description for World Cup Soccer (U.S. vs. Switerland). There are also three in the CBS gallery, including one on two pages and a TV Guide close-up description for Twilight Zone: Rod Serling's Lost Classics (Jack Palance). It featured adaptations of two stories written by the late Rod Serling, "The Theatre" and "Where the Dead Are." Larger image here. There are two more ads and TV Guide close-up descriptions for two specials, Carol Burnett: The Special Years (Julie Andrews, Lucille Ball, Whoopi Goldberg, Dolly Parton, Robert Preston) and The Dick Van Dyke Show Remembered (Mary Tyler Moore, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Carl Reiner). There are four in the FOX gallery, one for two Tales from the Crypt episodes, "The Trap" (Michael J. Fox, Teri Garr, Bruno Kirby) and "Maniac at Large," one for The X-Files first season finale episode "The Erienmeyer Flask" (David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson), one for The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. final episode, "High Treason" (Bruce Campbell, Carl Banks, Jim Harbaugh, Ken Norton, Jr.) and a full-page ad for "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" (Daryl Hannah). The NBC gallery has two, an ad and TV Guide close-up description for the final L.A. Law episode "Finish Line" (Richard Dysart) and a full-page ad for "The Substitute Wife" (Farrah Fawcett, Lea Thompson, Peter Weller). There are six in the Vintage Cable Ads gallery, a full-page color ad for CNBC talk shows, one for the premiere of the FX network, two MTV ads, one for the 3rd annual MTV Movie Awards and one for the Dead at 21 premiere, a Lifetime full-page ad and TV Guide close-up description for "Lie Down with Lions" (Timothy Dalton, Marg Helgenberger, Nigel Havers) and an E! ad for The Howard Stern Show. There's also one ad in the TBS gallery for the three-part mini-series A Century of Women (Justine Bateman, Olympia Dukakis, Jasmine Guy, Madge Sinclair, Talia Shire, Brooke Smith, Teresa Wright). More ads from June, July and August 1994 are on the way...
