Dec. 13, 2009: 1968 - Ten Years After x 2

There are 18 additions today from June, July and August 1978. There are ads for two specials on the year 1968. One, in the ABC gallery, is for 1968: A Crack in Time and the other, in the CBS gallery, is for 1968: The Year That Changed America. The ABC special had Cliff Robertson and Frank Reynolds reporting and the CBS special had Harry Reasoner reporting. Both shows looked back at The Vietnam War, the assasinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and other stories. The CBS gallery also has an ad for another special, Funny Business which looked at comedy films of the '30s and '40s. Walter Matthau hosted. The channel 2 gallery has one for The Newlywed Game and Wild, Wild World of Animals and two more for The Mike Douglas Show, one with Soap Opera Villians and the other with Jerry Lewis. There's also an ad with Beverly Payne, Walter Cronkite and Joe Glover in the channel 2 news gallery. The channel 4 gallery has one for Bowling for Dollars, the channel 11 gallery has one for Grease Day USA, a special with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, promoting the theatrical release of "Grease" and the channel 24 gallery has one for The $25,000 Pyramid with Bill Cullen. The channel 50 movie gallery has seven ads for "International House" and "Million Dollar Legs" (both with W.C. Fields), "Charlie McCarthy, Detective" (Edgar Bergan), "Marty" (Ernest Borgnine), "Twelve Angry Men" (Henry Fonda), "No Highway in the Sky" (Jimmy Stewart & Marlene Dietrich) and one for "Objective Burma" (Errol Flynn) on Bill Kennedy at the Movies.
